Great toothpaste

This is great toothpaste. I love this brand and not using as many chemicals. It throws you off a little at first that it is black, but once you get over that it is great. The flavor is minty and good and it makes my teether feel great.

Good for surface stain removal.

This is my first time trying a fluoride free, activated charcoal, "alternative" style toothpaste, so take this review for what it's worth. I've read concerns about the ability of fluoride free toothpastes to prevent cavities and tooth decay. I've also read concerns about activated charcoal as it relates to fillings, gum irritation and it's abrasives effect on tooth enamel. That said, I've also read that activated charcoal toothpaste does remove surface stains effectively. For these reasons, I will be using this toothpaste as a supplement along with my regular toothpaste in an effort to reduce surface stains. I've been careful to brush gently in an effort to avoid gum irritation and thus far the toothpaste has been pleasant to use. It has mild minty flavor, and you can defiantly feel the abrasives in it. Overall, it seems to be a quality toothpaste that avoids certain ingredients that some may be impartial to. It clean my teeth well, but may not be a complete solution on it's own to avoid tooth decay and prevent cavities.

Warning of lead exposure?

I'm not sure I will be using the product, first because it doesn't say where it is manufactured, only where it is packaged. Second , because it has a warning that you could be exposed to lead! It is a good tasting minty gel, but I will have to research more before I use it.

Not worth saving a couple dollars

I tried to save some $ and order this product. There's not much mint flavor and the charcoal taste is pretty strong. It tastes nothing like the Crest, Colgate, or Burts Bees charcoal toothpastes. My mouth doesn't feel fresh after using this product. Disappointed.
