Solgar are well known and respected and these Ester C

Solgar are well known and respected and these Ester C capsules are ones I have taken in the past. I have found they are fine for supporting my immune system, especially in the winter when colds and flu abounds. I rarely catch them. Ester C is meant to be a slow release version of vitamin C and it has been suggested that this is better than the normal version but some research disputes this and says they are equivalent, so who knows. But one thing is that these are Ph neutral so are much less likely to upset your tummy. And this formulation also contains extra bioflavinoids, not just the vitamin C, which adds to their value, which is pretty good. The price looks high but it works out at just over 6 a month, which is not too bad at all. The only issue - one I don't remember from my previous adventure with them - these capsules are enormous! I need lots of water to wash them down. I do still prefer them to those lozenge-shaped tablets, which some versions of vitamin C come in, but still.. Oh, and the capsules are bovine gelatin, so not vegetarian or vegan.

I like how easy they are to swallow, and appreciate the darkened bottle to protect the integrity of the capsules. Just beware that you don't inadvertently take too much vitamin C as this can have a 'loosening' effect on the bowels! Good quality and value. Recommended.
